A Good Day To Be Black & Sexy doesn’t exactly fit the mold of a typical feature film, but it’s decent filmmaking nonetheless. Its 6 mini-vignettes form around a delicious canon of sex and (unrequited) love, giving viewers an honest and exhilarating look at the complexity of relationships. Is it the amazingly understated and witty Black romance we’ve been waiting for? Perhaps not, but it’s definitely worth a watch. Also, in what seems like a trend with recent indie films, the soundtrack is top notch. Peep it on netflix.
